What does Adventurosa stand for?

Adventurosa is a young social enterprise that supports the Rosa Foundation, a charity registered in the UK that seeks to support dynamic projects in Brazil that aim to make a difference in people’s lives from all backgrounds. This is achieved by teaching Islam and trying our best to enact its spirit through fraternal engagements.

Adventurosa is an amalgamation of “adventure”, which is the spirit of this dream trip, and “rosa”, which means rose in Spanish and Portuguese, a universal symbol of love. Rosa is a reference to the charity “Rosa Foundation” that this social enterprise supports, and is based on the core message of Islam, which is one of love and compassion for the creation of Allah.

Why is Adventurosa offering tours to South America?

Firstly, a number of friends over the years have expressed to us their interest in travelling on a guided-trip to Brazil, which is where most of the Rosa Foundation’s social-welfare projects take place. So, this is primarily an opportunity for a guided-tour to some of the world’s most outstanding scenes of natural beauty and meeting interesting people along the way.

Secondly, having founded two charities since 2012 to serve a variety of causes in South America and worked in a voluntary capacity ever since, we have come to the realisation that a charity-model is not the ideal solution for supporting the sustainable growth of our activities. Many other opportunities which can benefit the local people we interact with are unfortunately squandered, such as through the exchange of social capital, knowledge and quality networking.

Thirdly, to travel in a good-spirited group that can mutually benefit through sharing advice, knowledge, wisdom, good stories of life-journeys etc; a great way to recharge.

What will I get from travelling with Adventurosa rather than alone?

By travelling with a group your physical and spiritual safety is better protected. Your travels will be managed by experienced guides who are already curating this exceptional trip for you to enjoy. You will benefit from the dynamics of people from a range of backgrounds and meet people that we have built relationships with for over a decade.

Is it safe to travel to Brazil?

Our route is planned with safety in-mind. While no guarantees can be given against unexpected events, we mitigate against these by asking you to follow the rules of the group leader and the instructions of local facilitators and guides, particularly in relation to security. Ultimately, everyone must take responsibility for their personal security by heeding the advice given and taking sensible precautions, for example, by staying with the group when they are outside.

Are your tours open to everybody?

Our trips are inclusive and everyone is welcome irrespective of faith, gender, or geography! You must be over 18 years of age, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Are your tours insured?

We provide ATOL protection, as well as travel and health insurance as part of our package.
